A Note From Our Founder
As a business owner, I have attended several networking events, and I have experienced that everyone who attends wants to sell something. The most famous phrase used is “I need to talk to you, please call me.” When you call, either she cannot take your call or she is not interested. In addition, many groups charge membership fees which don’t include breakfast or lunch–that becomes a separate cost. At the end of the year, while closing your books, you realize that you have spent quite a bit on networking and have not seen any productivity. Finally, most times you leave these meetings without any qualified leads. Trying to obtain some kind of exposure always results in high charges and exorbitant fees for advertising.
One Wednesday during my regular Wednesday fasting service, a name came into my spirit: “Christian Women United in Business.” I told my Spiritual Mother (this is the person who guides my Spiritual walk as a natural mother will do) about the experience. She advised that I should write it down and leave it and let God reveal what he wants me to do with the name. Approximately six months after, the Lord kept dropping small pieces of information into my spirit. This was when I decided to form CWUIB, which will be run on biblical principles. The focus of the organization will be to help Christian women who currently have or intend to operate their own businesses. We trust that many lost souls will be brought into the Kingdom of God, and we will work with other organizations, such as non-profits, to bring the will of God into action.
I realized that there are Christian women who have businesses and find themselves in the same position as I am. As Christians we are in the world but not of the world. We need to take a stand and unite together representing the Kingdom of the Most High God. He has given each and every one of us gifts to be used for his purpose. Whatsoever we do in life, whether spiritual, business, or personal, we ought to be doing it to the honor and glory of God.
One day while watching Change Your World with Pastor(s) Creflo and Taffi Dollar, I heard Pastor Creflo mention that “we need to educate and use our young people and our children in the ministries and also to show them how to become good business owners while making the Kingdom of God their priority.” These words captured my attention: I wondered, How I can use the youth in this ministry when it is geared towards Christian Women in Business? I sat down and pondered for a while, and it came to me to form a spin off of the women’s group for youth by forming a sub-group “Educate our Christian Youth for Business.” This division will be funded by the Women’s Organization and all other future groups that are under the umbrella of CWUIB.
Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teach thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
